Nintendo Switch 2’s The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom Ports seems ready to fix one of the most divisive features of the two games, through their mobile application connectivity.
As part of his Big Switch 2 reveals earlier this month, Nintendo announced that Tears of the Kingdom and Breath of the Wild will get Switch 2 editions, as well as a new application, Notes Zelda, which will be part of the Nintendo application.
The application will allow players to navigate and leave notes on an interactive game map, share creations in tears of the kingdom, unlock achievements and more.
The Zelda Notes application also allows Switch 2 players to roll a random daily ‘bonus that can be stored and used in the game. This includes generic articles such as meals and increases in health, but as seen by Zeltik, one of the rewards is “equipment repairs.”
The decomposition of the element is one of the most divisive features in the two Switch Zelda games, with all but some decomposition weapons the more they are used, which forces players to look for different options.
The tears of the kingdom introduced a dark trick through which players could deceive an enemy to repair some elements, but this method is limited and cannot be used in all weapons.
Since the decomposition of the element is a central characteristic of Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, the introduction of repairs has the potential to significantly alter the balance of the game. However, it is worth noting that the repair bonus is rewarded at random and can only be winded once every 24 hours.
The updates of the Switch 2 edition for Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom will be included for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members as part of their subscription or can be purchased separately for those who are not at that level of subscription.
The updates of both games will include an improved resolution and tables of paintings, HDR support, in addition to the new Zelda Notes function, which allows players to access a map of games, achievements and other features through their mobile device.
