WWE is adding an elite sports personality to its ranks. College football and boxing announcer Joe Tessitore, 53, signed a deal to provide play-by-play for WWE starting this summer.
What is still unclear is what screen Tessitore will present, although WWE confirmed that he will perform alongside Corey Graves and Wade Barrett. Graves is currently the ring of supremacy alongside Barrett on “SmackDown,” which airs on Friday nights, a year in which Michael Cole and Pat McAfee commentate on “Raw” on Monday nights. Cole and McAfee will remain paired in combination.

Tessitore, once a player on the NFL’s “Monday Night Football,” recently shouts high school football and ESPN’s year-round leading boxing, and also serves as the supremacy ringer for “Holey Moley’s” sports truth-quiz comedy. ” on ABC.
Since Tessitore’s college football and boxing projects often require him to work on Saturdays, and WWE did not specify which show he will name, it’s possible that Tessitore, Graves and Barrett could end up switching to “Raw,” which hits Netflix in January. on September 1, 2025, with Cole and McAfee returning to “SmackDown,” which arrives on USA Network on September 13.
