WR Kadarius Toney arrested in Georgia, supposedly strangled woman


The Kadarius Toney open receiver was arrested last week in Georgia for two positions, according to online records.

Toney was reserved in an installation of Douglas County (Georgia) on February 6 on aggravated assault charges: strangulation and obstruction/harassment of 911 calls. A judge set a bail of $ 25,000 in each charge.

The records show that Toney was not in custody on February 7.

TMZ Sports, citing police documents, reported that on January 14, Toney allegedly put his hand around a woman’s throat and squeezed “with enough force to make him not be able to [breathe]. “Red marks were observed in the woman’s neck, and the petechial hemorrhage was noticed in her eyes.

Toney also supposedly took the woman’s phone to avoid calling the authorities.

According to the 911 audio obtained by TMZ Sports, the woman called the residence authorities of a neighbor in Douglasville, Georgia. She said she was seven months pregnant and said Toney was her boyfriend. He also said he was holding his daughter at the time of the alleged assault.

Toney, 26, appeared in three games for the Cleveland Browns last season before being released in December after a mocking penalty and a clearance damping by the defeat against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
