Women’s Super League: BBC Sport signs new broadcast deal until 2030

BBC Game finally has an impeccable five-year business to continue broadcasting the Women’s Super League.

Under the campaign, which will run until 2030, the BBC will showcase 21 top-notch suits each season.

From the 2025-26 season, there will be 14 exclusive suits on BBC TV, seven of which will be shared on BBC iPlayer and BBC virtual platforms.

Selected costumes will also be available on BBC Radio 5 Live, BBC Sounds and BBC local radio.

Goals and clips from each match are available on the BBC Game site, app and social channels.

The print edition of Doing Business in Swimsuits will also continue to air on Sky Sports.

Alex Kay-Jelski, Director of BBC Recreation, said: “It is fantastic to see the WSL grow and grow and I am delighted that the BBC is continuing as a partner on that journey.

“We remain the most-watched sports broadcaster in the UK and offer excellent multi-platform coverage, so it’s fantastic to continue bringing the WSL to audiences as part of our free-to-air TV portfolio.”

Women’s Professional Leagues Limited (WPLL) chief executive Nikki Doucet said: “Agreeing the latest broadcast rights cycle used to be a concern for us and we are very fortunate to have two top-tier broadcast partners in Sky Sports and the BBC they imagine From now on and the price of women’s football to what we do.

“The growth of football is undeniable and this agreement is another step in the right direction and positive news for fans, players and clubs.”

78 34-only suits will be broadcast by Sky and can also be seen on the Women’s Professional Leagues Restricted (WPLL) YouTube channel.

The deal also allows Sky to swap Women’s Championship and Women’s League Cup outfits for the first time.
