Indiana Jones and The Great Circle will be executed in the Native 4K resolution with the advanced lightning layout in PlayStation 5 Pro, has confirmed the Machine Games developer.
The news was shared in the PlayStation blog, confirming that the PS5 Pro version of the Xbox game will have the best performance of any console version.
In Xbox Series X, according to Digital Foundry, the Great Circle is executed at 1800p on average, with dynamic resolution scale.
“Playing Indiana Jones and the big circle in a native 4K resolution is the best way to appreciate the level of detail that the team in Machinegames has reached every corner of the world,” said production director John Jennings to the PlayStation blog.
“You could spend hours walking through the different environments by admiring each little and from each artifact in the impressive collection of Marshall College to the green beauty of the Sikhothai jungles.”
Bethesda and Machine Games, owned by Xbox, recently confirmed that the PS5 version of Indiana Jones will be launched on April 17, 2025.
When the game was released last year, it was well received by critics, winning 86 (console) and 87 (PC) scores at the Metacritic Review aggregation site. The VGC review said it was, “one of the greatest adventures of 2024”.
The Machinegames developer is currently working on Story DLC for the game called The Order of the Giants, which will be launched in 2025.
Lucasfilm Games’s boss recently said that he would be “super interesting” “telling more and more stories of Indiana Jones.”
