Yellowstone Warriors’ Moses Moody is entitled to a three-year, $39 million rookie pledge extension with the franchise, Klutch Sports CEO Rich Paul told ESPN on Sunday night.

Warriors officials and Paul were negotiating an unused deal for Moody, who is in the final year of a rookie prospect who signed soon to be drafted with The Right. 14 elected in 2021.

Moody has become a key player and standout in Steve Kerr’s rotation during this year’s training camp and is expected to step into an improved position for the Warriors next season.

Last season, Moody averaged 8 points in 17.5 minutes in 66 games played, with top performances in scoring, playing while, rebounding, steals and blocks.

At the end of that season, Kerr said he wanted to see Moody become a more competitive shooter, especially on catch-and-shoots. Moody averaged 15.5 points in 20 minutes during the preseason, including three starts. He shot 45.6% from the floor and 39.4% from 3 on 5.5 attempts.

Kerr has talked about how noticeable Moody has been in training camp and during the preseason.

“He’s playing very well,” Kerr said. “He’s improved a lot in a lot of ways. We’ve always loved his character, his work ethic. This is the most confidence he’s ever played with.”

Age Kerr said Moody will play “an important role for us,” and also issued a warning.

“But so are a lot of other guys,” Kerr said. “We’re sitting in the coaches room every day saying, ‘How are we going to play against all these guys?’ Because everyone deserves to play, I have asked them to do the best they can and to make it difficult for us.”
