The Minnesota Vikings delivered a big blow during their Game 8 matchup Thursday night against the Los Angeles Rams. Celebrity take on Christian Darrisaw wanting season-ending surgery and then suffering a left knee injury during the 30-20 loss, according to an NFL Media document from Friday.

Trailing in the second quarter, Darrisaw was rolled up from behind and had his left leg trapped under Jaylen McCollough when the defense confronted Aaron Jones. Darrisaw remained on the grass for several minutes, before limping out of the farmland toward the storage room with the help of some running shoes. He was replaced in the lineup by David Quessenberry.

Darrisaw is the Vikings’ supreme offensive lineman: his Pro Football Center offensive rating of 82.8 ranks ninth best in the NFL among offensive tackles with at least 100 snaps. He’s magnificent in the grassland game, scoring with PFF’s eighth-best run-blocking offensive attack (82.3 PFF run-blocking grade) in the entire league. His absence will clearly be a great loss.

Simply this year out of season, the negative. 23 overall picks in the 2021 NFL Draft from Virginia Tech signed a huge four-year extension He is worth up to $113 million with $77 million guaranteed. He was the most successful left bet when it comes to AAV, before Darrisaw was finally surpassed by 11-time Pro Bowler Trent Williams of the San Francisco 49ers.
