The original Split Fiction soundtrack is now available to transmit.
With original works by Swedish musicians Gustaf Grefberg and Jonatan Järpehag, the soundtrack, which Grefberg called “Tan Fun Fun”, is available on all the usual platforms, including Spotify, YouTube, Apple and Amazon.
The reproduction list presents 45 tracks, the synthesizer score “that provides the perfect backdrop for science fiction adventures and mine and zoe fantasy with unique clues that range from atmospheric to high tension.”
“Since each Split Fiction chapter is very different, we wanted to do things similar to images and game and throw the player into a new world of music,” Grefberg explained in a Q&A about the music of the game.
“Sometimes inspiration comes from common genres such as trance or drum, bass or cinematic new age music. Other times inspiration originated in a single instrument. For example, transversal music in most of the summit is based on our own live Hangdrum recording. Grefberg explained that to create the dynamic score that jumps between different genres, the composers “sat down and played with what we had, which often meant something a lot of work in progress.”
“We discussed the general sensation before spending some time (usually one or two weeks, depending on the available time) to try ideas and moods. Sometimes we lower them immediately, other times we go through some iterations to have the feeling and mood that we all align and enjoy and Josef enjoy.”
The divided fiction changed 1 million units in 48 hours, and then another million copies in its first week, and now it is also officially record.
