Tomodachi Life’s Switch debut shatters even Nintendo Switch 2 hype in Japan

Tomodachi Life from Nintendo: Living the Dream is now more popular than even Nintendo Switch 2 revelation in his Japanese X account.

Announced in the last direct Nintendo broadcast on Thursday, Living The Dream is Life Tomodachi’s first game since 2013.

The comic social simulation title has players who interact with Mii’s characters, called “islanders”, since they solve problems and build relationships.

According to Nintendo, the 3DS game sold 6.72 million units, which makes it one of the best -selling games on the platform. At least 2 million of those sales came from Japan, and the announcement of the Switch sequel this week has proven to be similar in the region.

As seen by Botalksgames, Nintendo’s Japanese announcement has now liked more than 400,000 times, eclipseing the announcement of Switch January 2, which has 385,000 likes, and I probably converts it into the most beloved position of the company to date.

Tomodachi’s first game, Tomodachi Collection, launched only in Japan for Nintendo DS, and sold 3.2 million units. This was followed by Tomodachi Collection: New Life, which was launched in Japan in 2013 and then transferred to the West in 2014 as Tomodachi Life.

Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream will be launched for Nintendo Switch in 2026. “Create your own Mii characters based on yourself, friends, family, anyone!, And see them live their lives on an island in the sea,” says a Nintendo synopsis.

“Get involved with their relationships and experience all strange and wonderful forms of these Mii characters.
