Nashville, Tenn.-The defensive of the Tennessee Titans, L’Ararius Sneed, is being sued for $ 1 million by a Texas man who says that the NFL player or his personal assistant shot him while sitting inside a Mercedes-Benz in a stationary in December.
Christian Nshimiyimana, owner of a exotic car rental business and investigated vehicles for his company, was sitting inside the Mercedes G-Wagon on December 6 in Carrolton, Texas. Neither he nor anyone else were beaten by bullets fired from a Lamborghini Urus that passed beyond a Legacy Motors.
The lawyer Levi McCathern said in a statement on Friday that Sneed and his accomplice were arrested by the Carrolton Police Department for accusations of aggravated assault with a mortal weapon after the shooting. Much of what happened is written in the police report obtained by Associated Press.
The Titans, in a statement, said they are “aware of the matter and have been in contact with the security of the NFL for the league protocol.”
Nshimiyimana, 23, filed the lawsuit on February 20 at Dallas, Texas County, accusing Sneed and a defendant who appears as “John Doe” of “an attack not caused in cold blood and broad daylight.”
“The test is there,” McCathern said in his statement. “There is video surveillance of the concessionaire that shows the car and the person who opened fire against Christian. We want to know why this happened. We are grateful that no one was shot, but we were still looking for reason behind this incident.”
McCathern also accused Sneed and a woman who identified himself as Sneed’s mother to call and threaten Nshimiyimana later, urging him not to cooperate with the police or retain a lawyer.
According to the lawsuit, NSHIMIYIMANA remembers having seen Sneed and his assistant at the car dealership, but did not recognize SNEED of his NFL career or television. Nshimiyimana also does not remember having met Sneed before that day. The demand says that the defendants could have confused Nshimiimana with another person.
The Titans negotiated for Sneed, 28, last March and signed it with a four -year agreement and $ 76 million. A two -time Super Bowl champion with the Kansas City Chiefs, Sneed played in five games in 2024 before landing in the injured reserve due to a quadriceps injury.
