The Ravens reach a two -year agreement with QB Cooper Rush, the sources say

The Baltimore Ravens have a new support for Campo Lamar Jackson Marshal.

The Ravens reached an agreement with the former field marshal of the Dallas Cowboys, Cooper Rush, announced their agency, Equity Sports.

The terms were not revealed, but the sources told Adam Schefter and Jeremy Fowler of ESPN which is a two -year contract that has a maximum value of $ 12.2 million and includes $ 4.2 million guaranteed.

Rush, 31, will assume Jackson’s main support position by Josh Johnson, a 38 -year -old officer who launched three passes in six games last season. The Ravens have not needed to play their alternate field marshal much in recent years; Jackson has not lost a game due to an injury since the end of the 2022 season.

In the last six seasons, the Ravens have 4-10, including the playoffs, when Jackson has not started as a field marshal.

Meanwhile, the Cowboys will look for a new backup copy of Dak Prescott, who is the only quarter under contract with the team. Trey Lance, the third field of Cowboys, is also a free agent.

Rush has proven to be a valuable alternate field marshal for the cowboys, publishing a 9-5 record behind Prescott.

Rush published career maximums in yards (1,844) and touchdowns (12) in 2024, going 4-4 after Prescott was lost for the season with an avulsion of his right hamstring. While it is not striking, Rush is reliable and mainly avoids errors. He had five interceptions last season.

Initially he signed with the cowboys in 2017 as a free not recruited agent of the center of Michigan and served as support of Prescott for three seasons. After the arrival of Mike McCarthy as a chief coach in 2020, the Cowboys signed veteran Andy Dalton and Rush were released. He joined the cowboys after a brief period with the New York giants after the dislocated and fractured right ankle of Prescott.

In 2021, he won the support work and occupied the role during the last three seasons. In 2023, he signed a two -year agreement with the cowboys, choosing not to prove free agency.

He has launched for 3,463 yards with 20 touchdowns and 10 interceptions in 38 race games.

Todd Archer of ESPN contributed to this report.
