The former open receiver of the Atlanta Falcons, Julio Jones, one of the best players in the history of the franchise, announced his NFL retreat on Friday.
Jones, 36, who made the announcement in the application team, was a seven-time Pro Bowl selection and twice all-private of the first team during his 13 NFL seasons. Twice he led the NFL in yards receptors (2015, ’18) and is the leader of all the falcons time at receptions (848) and yards receptors (12,896).
Its 60 TouchDowns receivers occupy second place in the history of the Falcons behind Roddy White (63).
“I am making this announcement today due to the city of Atlanta,” Jones said. “Thank you, man. I thank everyone. It’s nothing more than love. I’m doing this on the 40s. It was an infernal trip … this was for the city, man, I thank everyone.”

Jones played for the last time for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2023, catching 11 passes for 74 yards and three touchdowns in 11 games.
He had three games with more than 250 reception yards in his career: the tops in the history of the NFL. Its five consecutive seasons of 1,400 yards receptors are also a NFL record.
Jones was taken sixth in the 2011 draft out of Alabama by the Falcons. It began 13 games as a rookie and went to accumulate six seasons with more than 1,000 reception yards and at least six tauchdown trapped, joining Matt Ryan as the best combination of receiver in the entire quarterback in the history of the franchise.
He had 19 trapped, 334 reception yards and three touchdowns in three postseason games when the Falcons arrived at the Super Bowl during the 2016 season.
In general, Jones caught 914 passes for 13,703 yards and 66 touchdowns. He played for Tennessee in 2011 and Tampa Bay in 2022.
