The Diablo creator says that he is quickly leveled in modern ARPGs’ low -all experience ”

Diablo’s creator says he feels that modern action role -playing games level too fast.

In an interview with Videogamer, David Brevik, who was a senior designer and main programmer in Diablo, and projecting and designing leadership in Diablo 2, criticized the modern versions of the genre for rewarding players too fast.

One of the main-level criticisms in Diablo 3 (in which Brevik did not work) is that players can reach level 70 in a matter of 3-4 hours depending on how they play the game, much faster than in the previous games of the series .

According to Brevik, Diablo 2’s rhythm is “excellent” because he takes the highest player, arguing that the slowest progression makes it more satisfactory when you reach that point, and that many of today’s ARPGs are more focused on leveling the Faster player.

“When you shorten that trip and you do it a bit ridiculous, you have chealed all the experience, in my opinion,” Brevik said, stating that fun in an ARPG “is not really coming to the end, it is the trip.”

Brevik also suggested that, although the devil games in which they worked had times when there were many enemies to defeat, the modern ARPGs focus too much on throwing hordes of enemies to the player and making them defeat them in mass.

“I can’t find that as a type of personnel and realistic as Diablo 2,” Brevik explained. “The rhythm in Diablo 2, I think, is great. That is one of the reasons he has endured.

“I just can’t find the screen of things instantly and cut things and walk through the level and kill everything, very attractive. I just don’t feel it is a great experience. I find it a bit silly. “

Last month it was stated that a Switch 2 Devil 4 port is in process.
