Stephen Curry (finger) misses Warriors’ preseason finale

Blonde Climate Warriors shield Stephen Curry will take a seat out of the team’s final preseason game on Friday due to a sprained right index finger.

Curry injured his finger on the court on Thursday, Warrior’s mentor Steve Kerr said before Friday’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Kerr said he didn’t think the surprise was too serious and expected Curry to be available on Wednesday’s opening night against the Portland Trail Blazers.

Curry initially injured his finger on Friday when it got caught in a jersey against the Sacramento Kings, and Curry was ruled out of the then-game. On Tuesday, Curry said he still had some discomfort but would play the closest games that night against the Lakers.

Curry was wearing a bandage on his finger, but he tore it off midway through the third quarter.

At first, Kerr intended Friday’s preseason game to be a workout to get dressed for opening night. But with Curry unavailable, Kerr said he planned to further tweak his lineups and rotations as he continues to struggle to find his fifth shot.

Meanwhile, Lakers mentor JJ Redick said he was resting all of his starters (LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Austin Reaves, Rui Hachimura and D’Angelo Russell) against Blonde Climate.

Lakers rookie Dalton Knecht, coming off an impressive 35-point performance on Thursday, might be the closest to kneeling against a Phoenix Suns player in an overtime victory.
