Divided fiction may have been launched only a couple of weeks ago, but there is already a war of offers for the rights of an informed film adaptation.
That is according to Variety, which revealed a film adaptation of the last cooperative layer of Hazelight, is now in process. The sources told the publication that the media company Story Kitchen, a name that can recognize our coverage of other video games to project projects, including Toejam and Earl, Vampire Survivors and Slime Rancher, is in the process of assembling the cast, writers and the director of the film.
Meanwhile, Variety declared that the offers of the rights of the divided fiction film are “from multiple Hollywood studies”, although names were not mentioned in today’s report.
According to reports, this is not Hazelight’s first game obtaining a film adaptation. In 2022, it was also said that the marital platform game that takes two headed to the big and small screen.
Later it was suggested that Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson was attached to the film project, while Pat Casey and Josh Miller, the writing duo behind the DJ2 live action action, Hedgehog’s films were working on the adaptation of the big screen.
Little has been heard about the project since then, already the beginning of this year, the founder of Hazelight, Josef Fares, told Eurogamer, even that he did not know what was happening with the film Ta Two.
As for divided fiction, well, it has certainly done well for itself. Together with brilliant criticisms in all areas, the game sold 2m copies in the first week of launch.

Also in Split Fiction News, earlier this week, two players were invited to Sweden to see the next Hazelight game after they completed such a challenging secret level that “barely” the members of the study team have managed to complete it. “This is a crazy and crazy achievement,” Fares told the qualified duo through a pre -recorded message that is at the end of the level.
