The offensive Tackle of Free Agent, Cam Robinson, is signing a one -year contract with the Houston Texans, the sources tell Adam Schefter of ESPN.
The agreement can reach $ 14.5 million next season, a source tells Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.
Robinson’s firm occurs a little more than a week after the Texans exchanged the Tensil Tensil to Washington’s commands in exchange for a series of selections in the drafts of NFL 2025 and 2026 Blake Fisher to accompany the Juice Scruggs guard and the Jarrett Patterson center. Last season with TunSil in the Redile, the Texans allowed the CJ Stud Field Marshal to be fired 52 times, tied in the third majority allowed in the NFL last season.
Robinson, 29, spent the first 7 and a half years of his career with the Jacksonville Jaguars before the Minnesota Vikings acquired it last season in week 9 as a temporary replacement for the left Tackle injured Christian Darrisaw.
He made his first beginning for the Vikings five days after the exchange and made a total of 11 openings, including the postseason. The Vikings won nine consecutive games during that period before the losses against the Detroit Lions in week 18 and the Los Angeles Rams in the playoffs round of the wild card.
Robinson helped fill a void in an offensive line that did not have an obvious alternative on the list, but Darrisaw’s fall was remarkable. Robinson occupied the 25th position at the rate of pass block and the rate of profit 45 in the execution block between tacle after the exchange.
According to Next Gen statistics, Robinson allowed the third highest pass pressure rate among the left cup with at least 500 pass blocking snaps (12.1%) and the rooms more bags (nine).
The second round of the Jaguars in 2017, Robinson has exceeded the full seasons twice in his career: 2020 and 2024. Injuries and a suspension of four games in 2023, for violating drug policy to improve the performance of the NFL, they cost games in all other seasons.
