Sifu developer Sloclap has announced its latest game, Rematch.
Rematch is an internet soccer game that offers fast-moving 5v5 suits, which can be played in smaller walled arenas.
Eager to launch on Xbox Form
Outfield players will switch from forward to defender on the fly when the condition requires it, and a unique goalkeeper position has its own specific abilities.
The game will include “new seasonal content” planned for after launch, including gameplay techniques and unused cosmetic options.
“Football is a beautiful game, a precise choreography of bodies in motion,” Sloclap said in a comment. “At its core, this game is about being in the right place, at the right time and in the right dynamic. And then, of course, execute it to perfection.
“With Rematch, we tried to capture this essence of football and condense it into short, fast 5v5 matches. We felt it was time to take a new perspective on this beautiful game: closer to the pitch, closer to the players.
“The third-person camera offers a unique immersion into the ebb and flow of the game: the ball moving away and approaching, the waves of attack and defense, this is what it feels like to play football.
“Just like real soccer, we want Rematch to be a highly cooperative game. Fundamentally, Rematch is about the joy of playing football with friends, of being together in a team.
“It’s about putting your team first and how giving the perfect assist can be more satisfying than scoring yourself. We hope to meet the players on the field very soon.”
