Talewind has shown “a period of restructuring” that may see “a significant number” of its workforce affected.
In a comment posted on LinkedIn, the studio said the verdict was issued “with great regret” and invited recruiters to contact chief operating officer Georgina Allender-Manners to help the workforce find unused alternatives.
“It is with an obesity center that we announce that Talewind is in a restructuring process, which unfortunately means that a significant group of our workforce is being affected.
“Our team is incredibly talented, passionate and versatile and will be a valuable addition to any future studios they join,” the remark concluded.
It is not known how many roles were reduced, but the British studio, which creates its own and branded Roblox games, says it employs between 11 and 50 people at LinkedIn.
In a separate message posted on Allender-Manners’ private LinkedIn profile, the chief operating officer said they too had been affected and insisted that decisions to make cuts had no longer been “taken lightly”.
“Needless to say, these decisions were not made lightly. I have had the pleasure of working with the most incredible team in the past. [four] years and would highly recommend them to anyone who has the pleasure of interviewing them,” Allender-Manners added.
Talewind’s are just the latest in a horrendous series of future business cuts that will see a clear reduction of around 13,000 business jobs in 2024.
