Liam enjoyed the end of the last Merseyside derby that will be played at Goodison Park, when the 98 -minute goal of James Tarkowski earned Everton a dramatic point in February, but is not enjoying Wednesday’s meeting in Anfield.
“I fear it, to be honest, for a couple of reasons,” he told BBC Sport.
“First, due to the way in which Liverpool is at this time, they are absolutely flying in the League, and also because of how our record is.”
Everton won in Anfield in 2021, but that is his only victory there in his last 28 visits in all competitions since 1999.
However, toffees enter this game decently. They are in an undefeated race of nine games in the league with David Moyes, who replaced Sean Dyche in January.
“I met be quite well, and he is a lovely guy,” Liam added. “He came to see us play in Pacha in Ibiza last summer and laughed very well.
“When obtaining the other side of him, I felt for him when he left. However, I guess it’s football and sometimes things don’t work.
“Moyes has returned and obviously has a connection with the club and a lot of history. He has begun to obtain a melody of some of the players a little more than Dyche, especially Beto in advance.
“I think the most important thing has done Moyes is to give him confidence. It will be interesting once Dominic Calvert-Lewin returns from an injury to see how Moyes responds too, because he has not played much under him.
“However, the fair game with Beto. There was a lot of pressure on his shoulders with a new manager, and the team did not score, but the race he has made [five goals in nine league games under Moyes] It is simply fantastic: in any other club, it would be a £ 60 million striker! “
