The fasmophobia developer, Kinetic Games has outlined what emerged in the first 2025 event, Damn Hollow, when it is launched on April 17.
Fans can expect “new challenges and secrets of chilling”, as well as a series of “exciting changes in previous events”, including new categories of rewards, the daily rotation of maps, nine of which have been seasonally decorated, and game modifiers as Jackalope’s mysterious totems.
Players can also expect “additional reworkings” recommended by the Phasmo community itself, including two different types of rewards: community and personal. Complete the first will grant points to the group of the community in general, while personal rewards are precisely that. However, to unlock personal goals, players have to work together to achieve the objective of the community first.
“During the damn hollow, ghost hunters must work together to identify ghosts, complete objectives and look for jackalope totems hidden in the game maps,” joked the developer. “But be careful: interact with totems will have mysterious effects, some useful and some that can even hinder the most experienced teams.”
“We are really excited that Curced Hollow will be launched next week, and once again, our players come together to address the community objectives of this season,” said the main developer and director of kinetic games, Daniel “Dknight” Knight.
“We have made some changes this year after the direct feedback of our previous events; from the new Division of Rewards, to some new game modifiers. Our community is everything, and we are always looking for ways to improve: we hope that everyone enjoys what ‘Curse Hollow’ has played this Easter, and maintains the feedback of what they want to see in the future.”
Curse Hollow will begin on April 17 and run for three weeks. Fasmophobia is available on PC through Steam, PS5, PS VR2 and Xbox Series X/S
The ghost hunting SIM has sold two million copies on the console since it left early access last October, which raised total sales on all platforms to 22 million. The development team recently described the way ahead for the spooky SIM in 2025, confirming Map ReWorks, new ghost hunting equipment, “exciting seasonal events” and also a new location.
