PHILADELPHIA – 76ers forward Paul George has a bone bruise in his left knee, but did not suffer any structural damage and will be re-evaluated at approximately one presentation, the team announced Tuesday.

George, a nine-time All-Superstar, was injured when his knee buckled on a defensive play in the second quarter of Monday’s game against Atlanta. He used to be excluded from sports because of a hyperextended knee.

“Everything is going well,” coach Nick Attendant told reporters Tuesday about the team’s progress in Fresh Jersey.

George attended Tuesday’s request. Even before the trauma, George was no longer scheduled to play in Wednesday’s preseason game against Brooklyn.

“I felt like he hyperextended, and immediately it was, okay, I need to be taken out and [looked at] but if you ask me, I’m not too worried about it,” George informed The Philadelphia Inquirer later in Monday’s game.

The Sixers had been cautious with their megastar players and around Joel Embiid on Sunday for the rest of the preseason because of what they called left knee control.

The Sixers, who signed George to a four-year, $212 million free agent contract this summer, are his fourth team, following seven years with Indiana, two with Oklahoma Town and five years as a member of the Los Angeles Clippers. Angels. He is a six-time All-NBA selection and has averaged 20.8 points in 14 NBA seasons.

With George becoming the 2023 NBA MVP, Embiid, and assured All-Superstar, Tyrese Maxey, the 76ers were expected to feature some of the league’s ambitious trios as they strive to build a core that can compete with the NBA champion, Boston.

George played 76 games at the end of the season, the first time he played more than 56 since 2018-19.
