David Gray has not been given a target after the Hibernian board deemed it necessary to issue a statement in support of the head coach.
The team were booed after a 2-1 home defeat to St Mirren, leaving them at the foot of the Premiership with just eight points from 12 games.
Gray, 36, takes Hibs to Dundee on Saturday in search of their second league win.
A brief statement released Nov. 11 highlighted the board’s support for Gray and his staff, while adding that “all departments are under pressure to deliver.”
Asked if there were any short-term objectives in his talks with sporting director Malky Mackay, Gray replied: “No, it’s just what the statement clearly says, that they will continue to support me.
“There is no ultimatum, so to speak. For me it is self-explanatory, that is, you have to start winning quickly. We know that, I am very aware of it.”
“It’s not a case of one game, two games, three games, how many points they could score over the course of that.
“They have said they will give me time and they have kept their word.
“I understand that the return of points for the number of games we’ve had for me as a coach is not good enough, so we’ve been consistent with that, but we’ve also been consistent in saying it needs to change, and it needs to change.” spins quickly.”
