Nintendo says eShop music won’t return for Switch 2, and likely never will

Nintendo has said that Eshop Music will not return to Switch 2, and probably will never do it.

Nintendo Eshop music was an iconic characteristic of Nintendo digital windows in the mid -2000s, and something that many unconditional fans have asked to return since the launch of Nintendo Switch.

Now, Nintendo has confirmed that Eshop Music will not return to the Nintendo Switch 2, and has explained why it will probably not return in the future.

“Unlike then, Eshop now has many videos that show the games,” Nintendo Switch 2, Kauichi Kawamoto told Polygon. “We didn’t want to make that end up, so we don’t have music there.”

Kawamoto also told Polygon that the Wii store channel is still caught in his head.

The Nintendo Eshop in the Nintendo Switch has been the focus of the frustration of many players due to their slow speed and lack of functionality.

Nintendo Kawamoto explained to journalists gathered in New York last week that Nintendo is focusing on improving Eshop’s experience before the launch of Nintendo Switch 2.

“I wanted to make sure it was a soft experience. That the displacement of the list does not stop, which is very soft, the pages are loaded quickly,” he said.

Earlier this year, Nintendo Life launched an ESHOP alternative designed to give Switch players an improved navigation and purchase experience.

‘Better Eshop’ was designed by the Nintendo -centered website in response to a series of frustrations commonly supported with the switch online store.
