Nintendo has addressed a number of complaints from accessory maker Genki surrounding the Nintendo Switch 2.

Over the past week, an avalanche of images and claims have emerged from CES, which took place in Las Vegas. At the center of this is accessory manufacturer Genki. The company reportedly showed off what it claimed to be an exact replica of Nintendo’s upcoming system.

Company representatives also claimed to have a final unit of the system and shared information about the system’s yet-unannounced release date.

Now, Nintendo has commented on these images to the Japanese publication Sankei. “These images and videos are not official,” a Nintendo representative told Sankei.

It’s a rare acknowledgment of Nintendo’s Internet rumors; However, the scale of the leaked images and the details of the upcoming system may have prompted the company to respond.

Last week, alleged images of the Switch 2 Joy-Cons appeared online. If authentic, they corroborate previous claims that the Switch 2’s Joy-Cons will be slightly larger and feature a magnetic connection.

This week, a trusted tech leaker with a history of posting accurate renders of unreleased tech, such as Samsung phones and previous Pixel devices, posted a 360-degree render that claims to show off Nintendo’s next console, which it claims is the most accurate look yet. Change 2.
