Misplaced Soul Apart will be created in 2025, nine years after its solo developer first opened the action game inspired by Satan Could Shout and Ultimate Fiction 15.
Chinese developer Yang Bing initially rejected the project, before founding his studio Ultizero Games. Now Sony will release the game for PS5 and PC (Steam).
In addition to the creation news, a new trailer for the game has been shown with new images of its hero wielding a sword and his dragon partner fighting an ice beast with impressive combat.
PlayStation previously shared a trailer for the game two years ago from the PlayStation China Hero Project creation tournament, which includes more of its character and platforming action in a global mix of science fiction and Chinese lore.
Before that, eight years ago, an independent prototype developed through Bing rejected the use of reserve assets.
And if the protagonist seems like a nonentity like Ultimate Fiction 15’s Noctis, that game immediately inspired Bing’s work, including Satan Would Shout.
“Embark on an epic odyssey to save your sister and all of humanity from dimensional invaders in Lost Soul Aside, a stylish single-player action-adventure RPG,” reads a legitimate Sony review on the page game‘s Steam website.
“Chain lightning-fast combos, learn new skills, and upgrade your weapons as you take on formidable enemies and colossal bosses in fast, dynamic combat.”
Satan fans might scream, Bayonetta and NieR: Automata will find a wealth of experiences here.
There is a great spectacle of immune games in the past and also in the future, and this type of action sport is having a brilliant resurgence in the generation.
The likes of Stellar Blade and Dim Fiction Wukong have highlighted the appetite for games with strong combat, years later will see the release of Phantom Blade 0, Where Air’s Meet and Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, among others.
