Almost three years closer to Spider-Guy: Deny Means House used to be immune, Tom Holland finally showed that a fourth movie is filming apace.
There’s been a lot of doubt about Spider-Man 4, first about whether it could happen or not, then knowing it’s happening but Holland remains cagey about it, and then still finding a director in Shang-Chi. With that in the park, it seems that doubt is no longer necessary, as during an appearance on The This Night Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the titular host asked Holland about a fourth film imaginable. “There’s talk that Spider-Man 4 is happening and you’re coming back as Spider-Man,” Fallon mentioned, prompting a mischievous smile from the actor, and Holland asked “what do you want to know?”
Fallon continues by inviting: “Can we confirm this tonight?” who were given a simple and ordinary “it’s happening” from Holland. “Next summer we will start filming, everything is ready. We’re almost there, it’s super exciting. I can’t wait.” Obviously, that will be the good news for those of you who have been desperately waiting for a reputable update, but if you’re looking for plot details, I’m afraid you won’t be successful. There have been a few rumors here and there, and it’s a positive that with Deny Means House ending the way it does and the time this one has taken to come together, there’s been a bit of back and forth about the right way to proceed, but When I’m Ready to Explode After the summer season, a concept has obviously been formed.
Until Holland was a little bit coy, we surely won’t expect Miles Morales to appear in the MCU, as the actor recently shared that if he “would be lucky enough to somehow bring Miles Morales into my Spider-Man universe and into the MCU, I would love to do for a child what [Robert Downey Jr.] He did it for me.” Maybe that’s happening and he’s gotten better at lying, but for now you’ll just have to wait and spot.
