Two goals from Matthew Shevlin plus one from Jamie McGonigle and one from Rhyss Campbell helped Coleraine to a comfortable 4-0 win over Loughgall at Lakeview Park.
The in-form Shevlin opened the scoring in the fifth minute before two goals in a row before the break from teammates McGonigle and Campbell had the visitors in a dominant position at the break.
Shevlin, with eight goals in his last five games, scored a quarter on the hour to secure just a third away league win in 19 for the Bannsiders.
Coleraine wasted no time in taking the lead, with top scorer Shevlin scoring his 11th league goal of the season after just five minutes.
Campbell gained ground down the right wing before unleashing a cross which Shevlin emphatically headed in from six yards.
The Bannsiders continued to create chances but had to wait until the 39th minute to double their lead.
McGonigle timed his run brilliantly to beat the offside trap and when Jamie Glackin released him he had the calm to run and slide the ball under Nathan Gartside.
There was still time for a third just a few minutes later when McGonigle this time turned provider, crossing for Campbell to beat his creator and score from close range.
And it was four o’clock, 15 minutes after the restart, when Shevlin scored a Glackin corner almost on the goal line at the far post for his second goal of the afternoon and his eighth goal in his last five games.
With the win, Coleraine moves up to fifth place, while Loughgall, who were limited to a few long-range efforts, remain at the bottom of the table.
