Veteran film, television and video game actor Tony Todd has died at the age of 69.
Todd’s most recent performance in a video game was in Spider-Man 2, where he provided the voice of Venom.
Spider-Man 2 developer Insomniac Games has posted a message on its official X account, paying tribute to Todd.
“Insomniac Games is heartbroken by the passing of our friend Tony Todd,” the statement read.
“He brought so much joy to our studio during the production of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and to many fans around the world with his inimitable voice and presence. “We are Venom… forever.”
Todd will appear posthumously in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, scheduled for release on December 9.
Although Todd is best known for his film career, most notably as iconic horror villain Candyman and funeral home owner William Bludworth in the Final Destination films, he also acted in several video games over the years.
