Iconic Pokemon Red and Blue Soundtrack finally hits Streaming Services, but with a twist

0

There is a catch to listening to Pokemon Red and Blue’s official soundtrack, which is now available on streaming services.

The soundtrack for Pokemon Red and Blue is now accessible via a few streaming services, which may please longtime fans of the Pokemon franchise. However, it might be a little difficult to download or listen to it.

Pokemon’s music has evolved greatly over the years, but some themes are still present today. Many of the original songs from the chip music of the games, such as the Victory Road theme or the eerie sounds of Lavender Town, are still well-remembered today. Fans can now listen to these songs as well as the rest of the original Pokemon games’ soundtrack.

The Japanese Pokemon Sound Library website currently has a streamable version of the soundtrack available. The Pokemon Company has stated that the music may be freely used in non-profit projects, and viewers of the site can actually stream or download it directly. Not everyone, though, is fortunate enough to have access to the website. A Pokemon Sound Library was once accessible to western players, but it has since been discontinued. Unfortunately, eager fans will either need to be located in Japan or use a VPN to access the website because the Japanese version of the site is region-restricted.

Western fans can nonetheless listen to the official soundtrack without having to bother with a VPN thanks to a workaround. The entire soundtrack has been uploaded to YouTube by The Pokemon Company in a single video that is available worldwide. Unfortunately, this means that western fans can only listen to the music through this service rather than download it, but they will likely appreciate the chance to do so.

This is only a small portion of the recent Pokemon news, which also included the announcement of new games like Pokemon Sleep and expansions for existing ones like Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Although not all fans were wowed by the revelations made at the Pokemon Presents event, it’s likely that these additions to the franchise will eventually lead to new songs and remixes being added to the series.

The soundtrack is just one of many components that go into creating a successful game. But ever since Pokemon debuted on the Game Boy, fans have adored the game’s soundtrack. Even the soundtrack for Pokemon Red and Blue was released on vinyl years ago. Despite the fact that Pokemon was first released more than 25 years ago, fans still enjoy listening to the songs they first encountered in the series.

Pokemon Red and Blue are available on the Nintendo Game Boy and Nintendo 3DS.
