Fishing in Fisch It’s easy once you get the hang of it. Right now, however, the simple interface and the sheer excitement of the moment you’ve been waiting for make you panic.
How to fish in Fisch
Fish fishing is essentially a three-step process: casting, hooking, and reeling. That’s casting the hook, waiting for a fish to bite, and fighting it to get it out of the water. In Fisch, there are three small mini-games that you must complete to get a capture.

How to cast the line
First of all, you want to equip your best fishing rod. This should be in slot 1 of the item bar at the bottom. Press that number on your keyboard or tap/click it to equip it.
Every time you purchase a new rod, you’ll tap the second “Gear Bag” slot and can choose from available rods by tapping the equip button under one.
Once you have the rod equipped, approach a body of water and click/tap and hold anywhere on the screen. This will cause a vertical bar to appear next to your character. You can release it at any time to cast your line into the water.
Releasing it as the marker nears the top will send it a little further, which can help you land the hook in a specific spot without needing to reposition it. Don’t worry about that for now.
How to catch a fish
You’ll catch a fish automatically as enough time passes in this phase, but you can speed things up by tapping the “Shake” buttons that appear.
Clicking anywhere else will immediately cancel the launch. You won’t lose the bait, which may affect the potential fish you can catch, but it is a waste of time.
How to catch a fish
You will enter the capture phase when a “!” appears above your head. You’ll also hear what sounds like two bird chirps, giving you a visual and audible cue that it’s time to catch one. It is not necessary to click on this point to start the next phase.
With a fish on the hook, the goal is to keep the long horizontal white bar within the moving vertical line that represents the fish. Click/tap and hold to move the bar to the right, or release to move the bar to the left.
Keeping the fishing line on the white bar causes the progress meter to go higher, while letting it out will cause the bar to slowly decrease. You will catch the fish when the meter is full and you will lose it if it is empty.
Each fish moves in a different pattern, making it virtually impossible to perfectly predict any catch.
Manage to fill the meter without letting the fishing line escape the horizontal bar and you will get 2x XP for the catch. You will also catch a fish that is worth a little more than normal.
