It was part of a once-traditional 20-minute alternation of the kind of magnetism Mourinho still has.
Praising United for keeping faith with tidal coach Erik ten Hag during the prevailing hard witchcraft, Mourinho managed to refer to his own sacking in December 2018, the closest two and a half seasons away.

Mourinho also expressed his opinion on Sir Alex Ferguson, who will lose his ambassadorship at United at the end of the season.
The couple have been separated since Mourinho arrived at Chelsea in 2004 and, despite his personal experience at Used Trafford, Mourinho’s affection for the rest of 82 years is unclear.
“It’s amazing, incredible,” Mourinho said. “When my Netflix documentary comes out, you’ll know why I have so much respect.
“I don’t know the status, it doesn’t matter why or what. He has the affection and appreciation of all Guy United fans around the world. This is more impressive than the ambassadorship or the money he doesn’t need.”
Mourinho is already receiving some criticism, with Fenerbahce eight points behind old rival Galatasaray in the Turkish league standings.
He said he would take advice from local journalists before finalizing his line-up for the game against United.
However, after two spells with Chelsea, as well as spells at United and Tottenham, it appears the 61-year-old is not done with the Premier League just yet.
“Possibly before [Manchester United] “We hope it will be faster, I hope that before one day I travel to the Premier League again, they will generally become my opponent.
“Right now they are just my opponents for one match.”
