Third quarter report
Only one more quarter stands between the Warriors and the victory they were favorites to achieve tonight. They have a bit of cushion as they currently lead the Grizzlies 93-78.
If the Warriors keep playing like this, they will increase their record to 10-2 in no time. On the other hand, the Grizzlies will have to settle for a 7-6 record unless things change (and quickly).

What to know
The Memphis Grizzlies’ road trip will continue as they take on the Golden State Warriors at 10:00 p.m. ET on Friday at the Chase Center. The Grizzlies strut around with some offensive muscle, as they have averaged 121.1 points per game this season.
The Grizzlies’ season wasn’t pretty last year, but it’s starting to look like problems are in the rearview mirror. They took a 128-123 hit in the loss column at the hands of the Lakers. Memphis’ loss marked the end of its three-game winning streak.
Despite their loss, the Grizzlies saw several players rise to the challenge and make notable plays. Jaren Jackson Jr., who scored 29 points plus seven rebounds and two steals, was perhaps the best of them all.
Meanwhile, the Warriors recorded their closest win since Feb. 15 on Tuesday. They beat the Mavericks 120-117. Congratulations to the bettors for accurately predicting both the winner and the close margin.
Among those leading the charge was Stephen Curry, who nearly had a double-double with 37 points and nine assists.
The Warriors broke the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds (ranked second in offensive rebounds per game overall). That good performance was nothing new for the team: they have already gotten at least 11 offensive rebounds in five consecutive games.
Memphis’ loss dropped their record to 7-5. As for Golden State, they have been performing incredibly well recently, as they have won seven of their last eight games, giving a nice boost to their 9-2 record this season.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: the Grizzlies have been breaking glass this season, having averaged 47.3 rebounds per game (they rank third in rebounds per game overall). It’s not like the Warriors (currently in second place) have problems in that department, though, as they’ve averaged 48.4. With both teams struggling to corral missed shots, we’ll see if one team can take advantage.
The Grizzlies hope to beat the odds on Friday as experts believe they are headed for a loss. Those interested in the spread don’t face an easy decision as they are 8-4 and Golden State is 6-1.
