Former Space Ape devs band to form Offroad Games

The old Space developers have joined together to form games all the way.

Two former Space Ape, Chrome Valley Customs and Fastlane projects: Road to Revenge, follow the team, although the new company of 10 people is also working on Space Air’s Cancered Racer, Go Race: Super Karts, as well as another unnoticed IP.

Talking to Pocketgamer.biz, the CEO Geoffrey Gilles, who previously led Chrome Valley Customs as GM, joins Cto Christopher Jubb, the main designer of Vera Zaitceva Games, the main artist Hyo Chan and Finance Director Cameron Simon and others to make a team of seven full -time employees and three contractors.

Gilles hopes to take the team to 15 people, although so far, Offroad has not obtained funds from Space Ape Parent, Supercell or elsewhere.

“I always wanted to be an entrepreneur, and there was this opportunity to operate successful live games,” Gilles told PG.Biz, stating that he puts the camaraderie, speed and “free thinkers” in the nucleus of the spirit of Offroad.

“I saw this opportunity to take both games, execute the games and then, at the same time, to hire some people again and then really find an inspiring company mission. Values that really talk to me and how I think the development of the game becomes better.”

Supercell, which already had 62% of Space APA, increased its investment in SPACE APE in November, acquiring the London -based study. In January, Space Ape Games expanded by establishing a new study, Nextbeat, but reduced 30 jobs in February 2025.
