The plot of the third part of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake trilogy has been completed and the game has entered full development, according to Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth director Naoki Hamaguchi and producer Yoshinori Kitase.

Speaking at G-CON 2024 in Korea, while the pair did not want to elaborate on the game‘s plot, they did mention that work on the game‘s plot has been completed, and the team is now focused on the game itself.

As first reported by 4Gamer, Kitase also said: “Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth provided a vast map, but in the third game, Highwind (airship) will appear, so we need to let you experience the world from a higher perspective.

“We won’t cheat with the aircraft system but rather challenge it head-on so players can fly freely around the map.”

The first two parts of Final Fantasy 7 Remake were released in 2020 and 2024, meaning Part 3 is likely still several years away.

Earlier this year, Hamaguchi said that he is confident that the third part will be one of the best video games ever created.

Review of the second entry, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, calls it “an excellent role-playing game with some of the best characters in the gaming canon.”

“While some of the open world content borders on the boundaries and the game‘s main narrative is left somewhat deflated, the time spent with Aerith, Tifa and the gang makes this a hugely fun road trip that you’ll play for hundreds of hours. “. we write.
