It is essentially the most magnificent rhythm of the era. Wrong, it’s not the Christmas season anymore. Monday, October 28, marked a sporting equinox.
The celebrities (and schedules) have aligned, and four of America’s major sports leagues have games available today. There used to be early video game continuations of the familiar NBA and NHL seasons. There used to be “Monday Night Football.” There used to be Recreation 3 of the International Order. Heck, there were even MLS playoff games on Monday night!
In a time that could simply occur during a sporting equinox, all four teams in New York action (the Yankees, Knicks, Giants and NYCFC) lost their games.
Here’s a recap of all the action from a surprisingly packed night of sports action.
