Third quarter document
On the verge of suffering a tough loss on the road late, the Nuggets have looked much better lately on their home court. They are well ahead with a 99-75 win over the Jazz.
If the Nuggets accumulate playing like this, they will increase their score to 3-3 in moments of disagreement. On the other hand, the Jazz should be in shape with an 0-6 record unless things change (and quickly).

What to know
The Nuggets will play the full four quarters on Saturday, but are expected to have things figured out before then. After having played the previous day, they will do it again and host the Utah Jazz at 10:00 pm ET at the Ball Arena. The two teams are an excellent 5-5 against each other as of January 2022, but probably not for long.
The Nuggets head into the showdown having suffered their closest loss since April 4 on Friday. They fell just below the Timberwolves with a score of 119-116. Denver has struggled against Minnesota recently, as the game was its third consecutive loss.
Although the team lost, it still had its share of notable performances. The best came from Nikola Jokic, who nearly had a triple-double with 26 points, nine rebounds and 13 assists. The game was the fourth in a row with at least 30 points. Aaron Gordon was another key player, shooting 5 of 7 from downtown and missing a double-double with 31 points and 11 rebounds.
Although they lost, the Nuggets broke the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. They simply outplayed their wrestlers in that area because the Timberwolves scored a better 8.
Meanwhile, the Jazz’s tough new group looked a little tougher Thursday and then suffered its sixth immediate loss and return late in the season. They lost to the Spurs at home by a decisive margin of 106-88.
Denver now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Utah, their loss dropped their report to 0-5.
Rebounding can be a big issue in this competition: the Nuggets were breaking glass this season, having averaged 47 rebounds per game. On the other hand, it is no longer like the Jazz’s effort in that area, as they have averaged 47.8. As both teams fight to corral forgotten photos, we’ll see if one team can get the upper hand.
The Nuggets outscored the Jazz in their previous meeting in April by a score of 111-95. Will the Nuggets repeat their luck or does the Jazz have a better game plan in this round? We will quickly discover it in abundance.
