After the Giants went 9-7-1 in 2022 and made the playoffs, when Brian Daboll won the NFL Master of the Moment award, New York rewarded Jones with a four-year, $160 million pledge . Since putting pen to paper on that trade, Jones is 3-10 as a starter and has thrown 8 touchdowns compared to 10 interceptions.
In the week that has passed 658 days since he landed in New York, Jones has started just six home games in that amount of presence. In fact, Jones is the first inaugural quarterback to throw 0 touchdowns in six straight home games since Trent Dilfer from 1995-96.
Daboll told reporters on Sunday that Jones remains his starting quarterback, but Giants fans certainly don’t feel the same way.
