The New York Giants have moved on from their long-standing disagreement. 2, when Saquon Barkley returned to MetLife Stadium and racked up 176 rushing yards and a touchdown for the rival Philadelphia Eagles in a 28-3 win at Life 7. Giants fans began the contest by booing their former player again. But they ended the era booing their own team.

The week Barkley had 176 rushing yards, the Giants had just 119 total yards. Quarterback Daniel Jones completed 14 of 21 passes for 99 yards before being benched in the fourth quarter for Drew Lock. Jones once again failed to land in a home game. In fact, Jones hasn’t landed in front of fans in his space since Unused Moment’s beyond 2023. That was 658 days ago.

After the Giants went 9-7-1 in 2022 and made the playoffs, when Brian Daboll won the NFL Master of the Moment award, New York rewarded Jones with a four-year, $160 million pledge . Since putting pen to paper on that trade, Jones is 3-10 as a starter and has thrown 8 touchdowns compared to 10 interceptions.

In the week that has passed 658 days since he landed in New York, Jones has started just six home games in that amount of presence. In fact, Jones is the first inaugural quarterback to throw 0 touchdowns in six straight home games since Trent Dilfer from 1995-96.

Daboll told reporters on Sunday that Jones remains his starting quarterback, but Giants fans certainly don’t feel the same way.
