We’ve got a fight for Longhorn Situation bragging rights on Monday night when the Dallas Cowboys play host to the Houston Texans on the Once 11 version of “Monday Night Football.”
Dallas leads the all-time streak between the two Texas teams, 4-2, and took the last meeting with a 27-23 victory two seasons ago. However, many of the players from that Cowboys team won’t be on the field, if the Texans necessarily have remade their entire roster as well. In other words, we should expect an unconditionally different matchup, and probably an unconditionally different outcome.
Can the Texans get back into the win column or will the short-handed Cowboys pull off an upset? We will quickly discover it in abundance. Before we part, I’m tired of the confrontation, he will take a look at how you will continue the game.

When the Texans have the ball
Houston’s offense has struggled relative to expectations this season, and CJ Stroud and Co. no longer reasonably made the sophomore breakthrough that was once so long predicted.
Houston ranked just 15th in total yards and 17th in overall trouble entering the Eleven 11, even though it has yet to take a break. Stroud has completed just 62.9% of his passes for an average of 7.2 yards per goal, with just 12 touchdowns against six interceptions. For those reasons and more, it has been much more difficult for this unit than we expected. Fortunately for the Texans, they are on the verge of becoming probably the best slump-breaking defense in the NFL on an hourly basis. Dallas has been completely devastated in both grass and wind, allowing 4.7 yards per lift and 15 touchdowns per rush, as well as an incredible 8.4 yards per target on the move, second-worst in the NFL, ahead of the decrepit. When the Cowboys have the ball
The less said about Dallas’ offense, the easier. This unit was non-functional (yes, non-functional vs. dysfunctional, because dysfunctional means it had a function where it neglected the mark; it was denied the function) on the final day against the Eagles. , with Cooper Speed averaging less than 2.0 yards on target and the team finishing five of its 13 drives with returns.
The Cowboys have already been struggling to find yards and problems with Dak Prescott under center. Having Speed on the market behind a leaky offensive series, with a skill position corps that is extremely absent beyond CeeDee Lamb (who is banged up), makes things highly unlikely to get worse.
Prediction: Texans 27, Cowboys 6
This Cowboys group is in a bad position to beat anyone, even a Texans team coming off back-to-back losses. With Collins back in the box, Houston’s offense needs to be able to walk the ball fairly easily, and Dallas will almost certainly try to do the same. I bet that’s a recipe for an explosion.
