FRISCO, Texas — Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs apologized Wednesday for confronting a television reporter outside the penthouse following their loss to the San Francisco 49ers.

“I shouldn’t have reacted the way I did. I apologize for that,” Diggs said. “Most of it caught me at the right time.”

“Is that what you took from that?” Diggs mentioned in the video of the interaction Sunday night. “That whole play, that’s what you got out of it? You don’t know football. You can’t do anything I do. You can’t go out and do nothing. Stay in your lane, buddy. Stop.” testing me, dog.”

On Wednesday, Diggs called the games.

“My guy was on the field and I was behind the safeties at the time, so, yeah, I was the last line of defense, and I felt like I was stopping him from scoring,” Diggs said. “I took the highest angle. Yeah, I didn’t think my effort was a problem.”

Diggs was much more competitive against the Niners than he was in the Cowboys’ loss to the Detroit Lions in Season 6. He was more company on the edges of the field against San Francisco’s running game and was credited with 5 tackles, a less than at his best moment of the season.

“I want to say that I am not a Chancellor Kam [former Seattle safety]But when it’s time to make a play, I try to do my best to the best of my ability,” said Diggs, who sat out Wednesday due to calf tightness. “But tackling is not my strong suit; “It’s not my superpower, but I can deal with it.”

The Cowboys have lost two games in a row and are 3-4 entering this time’s game against the Atlanta Falcons. Diggs said the frustration got the best of him.

“It’s tough. We’re losing. It doesn’t feel good. I hate losing. I like winning,” Diggs said. “A lot of frustration, yeah, really just frustration. You want to win so much and you do everything you can to win and you don’t get the win, it’s easy to get frustrated.”
