Brian Schottheimer’s first staff as a cowboys chief coach will probably include a former NFL offensive coordinator. The cowboys are working on the hiring of the former offensive coordinator of Bills and Browns Ken Dorsy, according to NFL Media.

In addition to finishing the agreement, the two parties are working to finish Dorsy’s role with the team, which NFL media reports It will be as a specialist in the passenger game. The cowboys recently hired Klayton Adams to serve as the new offensive coordinator of the team. Adams, 41, spent the two previous seasons as the coach of the offensive line of the Arizona cardinals.

Adams has never been an offensive coordinator in the NFL, which could be one of the reasons why cowboys are bringing Dorsy, who has experience in that role. Dorsy, 43, served as the offensive coordinator of the Bills during the 2022 and 2023 seasons and was the offensive coordinator of the Browns in 2024.

Dorsy was fired by the Bills 10 games in the 2023 season. He was relieved of his duties in Cleveland shortly after the end of the 2024 season.

DORSEY, a winning field marshal of the National Championship with the Miami Hurricanes, had a six -year race in the NFL before entering coaching. He came to his training as an explorer of the Panthers in 2011. Carolina promoted it to the field marshal coach in 2013, a position he held for five years. During that time, the Panthers enjoyed the MVP caliber game of the Campal Cam Newton Marshal, who in 2015 helped Carolina arrive at the Super Bowl. DORSEY then spent two years as a Campo de los Bills coach; I was reigning the first Campal Marshal coach of the Josh Allen League in the NFL.

In Dallas, Dorsey will probably work in some way with Dak Prescott, the field marshal of the Cowboys franchise, whose 2024 season ended early due to an injury. The Prescott injury played an important role in the ranking of the Cowboys offensive in the 21st position in the NFL at points scored last season. Dallas also ranked 27th in the league in Rushing, in 32nd in Touchdown races and 31 in efficiency of the red zone.
