half time report
The Grizzlies are on the road, but they don’t look any worse. They have jumped out to a 74-66 lead against the Bulls.
The Grizzlies came into the matchup with extra motivation after the loss they suffered the last time these two teams met. We’ll see if they are able to turn the script around or if it will simply be more of the same.

What to know
The Bulls will be in front of their home fans on Saturday, but a look at the layout shows they could use that home-field advantage. After playing yesterday, they will do it again and host the Memphis Grizzlies at 8:00 pm ET at the United Center. Both worked hard to overcome the odds in their previous battles and both are surely feeling confident heading into this clash.
The Bulls arrive fresh from scoring the most points they have all season. They enjoyed a cozy 136-122 victory over the Hawks on Friday. Perhaps unsurprisingly, given the team’s high-flying offense, the game also marked the team’s biggest win of the season.
The Bulls earned their victory thanks to several key players, but it was Ayo Dosunmu up front who went 8-for-10 en route to 20 points plus eight assists and two steals. What’s more, Dosunmu also recorded an 80% field goal percentage, which is the highest he has recorded since February. Coby White was another key player, nearly posting a double-double with 20 points and nine assists.
The Bulls were working as a unit and finished the game with 36 assists (ranked fifth in assists per game overall). That good performance was nothing new for the team: they have already recorded at least 25 assists in 11 consecutive games.
The Grizzlies’ season wasn’t pretty last year, but it’s starting to look like problems are in the rearview mirror. They topped the 76ers with a 117-111 victory on Wednesday.
Chicago’s victory ended a four-game home drought and moved them to 7-10. As for Memphis, their victory raised their record to 9-7.
The two teams delighted fans and bettors alike in their recent meetings by winning and covering the spread. Looking ahead, the Grizzlies are the favorites in this one, as experts expect to see them win by 5.5 points. This contest will be Chicago’s 11th straight as underdogs (so far this stretch they are 5-5 against the spread).
The Bulls outscored the Grizzlies 126-123 in their previous meeting in October. Will the Bulls repeat their success or do the Grizzlies have a better game plan this time? We will know soon.
