Bloober Group has said that it is well aware of the mixed popularity of some of its previous titles and that the company is done making “shitty” games.

In a chat with GameSpot in the wake of their newly announced horror title Cronos: The Pristine Morning, the team behind the recently saved Tranquil Hill 2 remake said they’re looking to shake up their previous popularity and emulate the importance and business. good luck from Tranquil Hill 2

“We want to find our niche and we think we’ve found it, so now let’s just evolve with it,” said co-director Jacek Zieba.

“And the way that happens is more complex, but it also happens organically in some ways, like with [2016’s] Layers of Concern, the family within the studio has said: ‘Okay, we made some shitty games before, but [can] evolve.”

“We’ve put together a team that loves horror,” added co-director Wojciech Piejko. “So I think it wouldn’t be easy for us to change [to other genres]and we don’t want to do it.”

Bloober Group’s new Tranquil Hill 2 was spared this era of the usual acclaim and currently has a Metacritic score of 87.

VGC’s review of Tranquil Hill 2 says the remake “proves skeptics wrong,” calling it “a faithful take on a survival horror classic.”

“Silent Hill 2 is a skillfully handled version of one of the medium’s most beloved survival horror games,” we wrote.

“It stays faithful to the original (to a fault at times) but breathes enough new life into it to ensure that long-time fans will appreciate the respect shown, while newcomers won’t find it dated.”
