Consider Balatro’s Buddies of Jimbo solo collaboration update back in August, in which the acclaimed poker-themed rogue-like included a host of client video game-inspired card cosmetics? Well, it turns out that the market was more where it came from, and gamers can now decorate their desktops with cameos from games like Cyberpunk 2077 and Stardew Valley.

Balatro’s intact Buddies of Jimbo update gave players the ability to replace the game’s usual kings, queens, and jacks with characters from The Witcher, Vampire Survivors, Dave the Diver, and Among Us. So if you fancy beefing up your terrace with a radiant Jaskier, for example, or a tiny purple space friend, once you’ve been well and truly cared for.

And now, Balatro developer LocalThunk is doing all that again with the isolated Buddies of Jimbo Collect 2, featuring cameos from The Binding of Isaac and Slay the Spire, along with Cyberpunk 2077 and Stardew Valley. That means you’ll now be ready for Johnny Silverhand as your ice king, Isaac’s mom as your varicose vein queen, even Stardew Valley’s common pack supervisor Pierre as your jack, with all 12 new card faces coming out. air in the trailer below.

And beyond that, there’s not much else to document, other than the fact that Balatro’s isolated Buddies of Jimbo Collect 2 update is now available for PC, PlayStation, Switch, Android, and iOS. As for what’s closer, LocalThunk has shown in the past that it’s running a big isolated content update, promising to “bring new ideas and strategies to the game,” which will begin sometime closer.

And if you haven’t played the absurdly compelling Balatro yet, you’re sure to give it a look. Christian Donlan had great things to say about his rogue turn at poker in his evaluation of four big names ahead of this presentation, calling it “So surprising and so brilliantly constructed, and something that has given me so much pleasure over the last week.”
