Employees at Activision Snowfall’s quality assurance segment in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, walked out in protest against the company’s return-to-office mandate.

As Eurogamer reported, Activision’s ABetterABK worker team, backed by the American Communications Workers Union, said the company is “refusing to make accommodations as a way to force them to resign.”

He alleged that the company “insis[ted] that workers should work in the office, even those with serious medical conditions and medical recommendations to work from home.”

In some other remark shared on social media, ABetterABK claimed that the RTO’s mandate was once “decided in our name without our input.”

“Since then, we have also learned that the company is unwilling to offer people accommodations to work remotely, even when it is the only option that meets employees’ needs, due to this alienating policy.”

Activision Snowfall issued a comment in reaction: “We respect our employees’ rights to express their point of view. We understand that returning to the office has been an adjustment for some. We engage in an interactive process with employees who request accommodations. This is” “There is an ongoing conversation at the negotiating table and we will continue to discuss our respective interests in that forum.”

In January, Activision Snowfall ended its hybrid work model for QA staff in Minneapolis, Austin and El Segundo.

Prior to this filing, more than 700 Ubisoft France employees walked out in a dispute over the company’s RTO coverage and pay.
