76ers rookie Jared McCain taken to nearest clinic with breathing problems after terrifying fall

0
Philadelphia 76ers rookie Jared McCain suffered a scary fall Wednesday night and was taken to the nearest clinic for trouble breathing, according to Sixers coach Nick Caregiver.

It took place with 4 minutes left in Philadelphia’s 117-95 preseason victory over the Brooklyn Nets. McCain, who was taken by the Sixers with the 16th overall pick in June, was trying to retrieve his own pass, but as he was in the air, his weight went too far behind him and he fell backwards, crashing against the ground in a particularly compromised place.

They will see closer to the fall that the 20-year-old McCain was in a more uncomfortable situation. Once he held his chest while turning around and gave the impression that he was struggling to breathe. Here’s a deeper look at fall.

McCain remained ill for several minutes before he was helped off the ground. Before the game, the Sixers said the team’s medical team was evaluating him, including for a concussion.

“It was hard,” said the caretaker. “He’s going to the hospital to get checked out. He was obviously having some trouble breathing, I thought maybe he was out of breath. But I’m not sure. [I’ve] never seen at all [a fall] “Like that one before, so let’s hope he’s okay and we’ll see what the hospital report is.”

Every time a person sees a player advance sick like this and then starts having trouble breathing, some beautiful terrifying images promise to appear before their sight. McCain’s condition certainly does not appear to be life-threatening and we hope the trip to the clinic is more of a precautionary measure.

Until next time, we all hope for the best for McCain. We may continue to update this story as we learn more information.
