With just over two remaining weeks in 2024-25 NBA Regular season, we are officially in the section and the playoff image of the league is taking shape. Almost all teams and fans are paying attention to the classification at this time, and we are going to bring you the most up -to -date image of where everything is, every day, until the end of Sunday, April 13.
The Thunder secured the advantage of numerous seeds and courts of the West through at least the first three rounds of the playoffs last week, since they have already eclipsed 60 victories in the season. The Cavaliers maintain an advantage over Celtics No. 2 in the east, staying stable in 4.5 games. Boston can ensure the title of the Atlantic Division with a victory on Saturday. The Knicks became the third team in the East to ensure a place in the playoffs, thanks to the defeat of the Hawks on Friday.
Although the place of Thunder in the West is safe, it will be worth watching the race for seed No. 2 over the next weeks. The Rockets, Nuggets, Lakers and Grizzlies are fighting for that number 2 place and have been grouped in the classification since the beginning of March. The race for No. 6 (the last place of guaranteed playoffs) in the West is also starting, with the Warriors, Clippers and Timberwolves looking at the place.
In the East, we probably know the 10 teams that are going to make the postseason as the 76ers, Raptors and Nets seem focused on the lottery instead of trying to make the game tournament. The Hawks, Magic, Bulls and Heat seem destined to be the East Game Teams in 2025. In the West, the Suns are trying to get the last postseason place, and they will have to jump to the Mavericks or Kings if Kevin Durant and Co. They want the opportunity to make the playoff field.

As a reminder: The six best teams at each conference automatically obtain places in the 16 -team playoff field. The final Four Playoff Spots will be determined by the game tournament, which will feature the numbers 7-10 at each conference. The seventh place team receives the team of eight places to win the seed number 7. The loser of that game will face the winner of a game between the teams of the ninth and tenth place for seed number 8.
East has developed a clear top six with only a few remaining weeks in the regular season, while the Timberwolves and Clippers hope to track the warriors and rockets in the West.
