Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid have shown us time and time again that they will raise the weapons at their disposal when necessary, so overall, this group is legit.
But who says you won’t be able to reinforce the sickness funds? Who says you need more for your laurels, especially when you’re about to achieve a third Lombardi Trophy record? With key veterans like Rashee Rice and Marquise Brown banged up along with reserves like JuJu Smith-Schuster, here are five wide receivers the Chiefs could target ahead of the league’s Nov. 5 in-season trade deadline:
Teams typically don’t sign a veteran starter and after signing him the same season, but the Carolina Panthers don’t have Johnson sworn in after 2024, and at age 28, with no sunny quarterback plan in the park, is a questionable. In the long term they are compatible. However, the former Pittsburgh Steelers standout still has plenty of talent on the field and would supposedly produce for a mid-season turnkey apartment in Kansas Town.
The Jacksonville Jaguars aren’t going to want to lose anyone in their era of talent weapons trying to salvage a boom-or-bust year for Trevor Lawrence and Doug Pederson, but Kirk has apparently seen inconsistent usage over the next two years punting 1,100 yards as zenith target. . His track record at the position suggests he would be an ideal all-purpose option for Reid’s offense, giving Kansas Town a safer catch-and-run ultimatum.
