The open receiver of the Kansas City bosses, Xavier Worthy, will not be accused after his arrest on Friday night for an alleged assault in Williamson County, Texas, said the district prosecutor there to the American man-state of Austin on Saturday on Saturday.
Worthy, 21, was imprisoned by the Sheriff’s office of Williamson County for assault of a family or member of the House of Representatives by preventing breathing or circulation. Online records had no detail of the arrest. The online court list for the case was updated to “dismissed/rejected” later on Saturday.
Williamson County District Prosecutor Shawn Dick, told the statesman that his office refused to accuse worthy after talking with multiple witnesses, but said “will continue to evaluate the case.”
“After a greater investigation carried out by the Sheriff’s Office of Williamson County and an additional discussion with a witness of a third party, Mr. Worthy and his lawyers, this case is being rejected at this time waiting for the completion of the investigation by the Sheriff’s office of Williamson County Sheriff,” Dick told The State. “Mr. Worthy and his lawyers are fully cooperating with this investigation.”
The bosses said early on Saturday that they were aware of Worthy’s arrest and collection information.
According to the player’s lawyers, Worthy and the plaintiff, a woman, were in a dispute after he asked him to leave his residence. They said that the woman caused the property and scratched Worthy’s face, among other accusations, but that the open receiver told the police that she did not want to present charges.
“We will continue to cooperate with the Williamson County authorities, since we have full faith, its exhaustive investigation will support the innocence of Mr. Worthy,” the lawyers added in a statement.
In Texas, preventing breathing or circulation of a family member is a serious third grade and punished crime with two to 10 years in prison and a fine of $ 10,000.
Worthy was the first round of the Chiefs Draft in 2024. He caught 59 passes for 638 yards and scored nine touchdowns as a rookie.
