Royal Challengers Bengaluru 180 for 6 (Perry 90*, Wyatt-Hodge 57) tied with UP Warriorz 180 (Ecclestone 33, Sehrawat 31, Rana 3-27)
Super above UP Warriorz 8 beats RCB 4
An extraordinary drama night delivered a thriller, with Up Warriorz sending a crowd overcoming 28,000 in the stunned silence after RCB failed to eliminate the nine races they needed in the Super.
The high octane end
Forty -two needed 18, with two wickts in their hand. Ecclestone had listed 3 out of eight balls, and had no choice but to go bankrupt, especially with Chinelle Henry, apparently the last hope for the Warriorz, missing.
Ecclestone was caught in Georgia Wareham by musculating two six in a 13 -run race. But when Saima Thakor ran out of a ball after swinging from the ground in 19, everything was in Ecclestone knocked out a large part of the 18 races they needed in the last six.
Ecclestone reached 17 in an extraordinary sequence of 6, 6, 4, 1, taking Renuka to the cleaners while she repeatedly lost her lengths. But Ecclestone’s single from the fifth ball that left Warriorz needed 1 of the last ball, took the rookie Kranti Goud on strike.
When Goud was lost and the batters ran, Ghosh made a more Dhoni, choosing to sprout the stumps and knock out the bonds instead of risking a armpit launch. And so, the WPL had its first super over.
Ecclestone’s dream night continues
When Kim Garth played Henry, who had muscled eight six six in his 23 62 balls against Delhi Capitals, with a slower delivery with Warriorz that needed 47 of 22, he would not have imagined having to play the super.
However, when he did, and granted only 8 while rejected Henry again, he would not have imagined finishing on the wrong side of the result. But five minutes later, he watched in agony how Mandhana and Ghosh could not find their batting range to the face of some ecclestone nectic bowling.
Perry, Wyatt-Hodge established RCB
Perry compensated for the early loss of mandhana, against offspin for the eleventh time in the WPL, welcoming Ecclestone with four four, its step to divide the coverage and half of the half of the outstanding. The approach of Perry’s intention brought him a first six when Thakor launched on the ground. At 42 by 1 at the end of the power game, RCB had a base.
The period of five over between seven to 11 brought to RCB only 33, but the couple was able to move the switch. Goud, who hastened Wyatt-Hodge with an excellent bumper from the beginning, was collected for three consecutive four in 13.
In doing so, Wyatt -Hodge exhibited its range of shots, a cut when it was offered wide, a blow beyond the bowling player when he dug in short and a hits on an additional roof when it was filled. Wyatt-Hodge raised his half-century Doncella of 36 balls against the side that had changed it. But his dismissal brought Warriorz two more Wickets: from Ghosh and Kanika Ahuja.
But Perry did not miss the opportunity to go to death. He liked the predictable lengths and the bowling of Decepti Sharma on the surface when choosing it for a sequence of 4,6,4,2 in the penultimate on, hitting the ball to different arches from the deep roof to half a long time to the halfwet deep.
The use of Perry angles to try to enter the line and sweep the bowling players was particularly notable. He ended up undefeated in 90 discount 56, with RCB hitting 105 of the last nine overs.
Navirare causes life in Chase
Navirre tantalized once again, his mantra without maintenance complications and deliver brought 24 of only 12 balls, while he swayed anything remotely in his area before he was thrown when trying Hoick Renuka. Vrinda’s low scoring race was extended in a fourth game when he chose in the middle of half of 14 when Warriorz lost two before.
