WBBL News: Tayla Vlaeminck out of WBBL with shoulder bruise

0
Unlucky Australia and Melbourne Renegades fast bowler Tayla Vlaeminck has been ruled out of the WBBL for the third consecutive season following the shoulder dislocation she suffered in the T20 Global Cup.

Vlaeminck, 25, dislocated his shoulder bowling moments after Australia’s World Cup match against Pakistan, which was his first in a major event since 2018.

It was therefore ruled out of the World Cup and Renegades demonstrated on Friday that it would play matches in the wrong phase within the WBBL which begins next Sunday.

Vlaeminck has not played in the WBBL since November 2021, when he played for Hobart Hurricanes. He signed with the Renegades ahead of the 2022-23 season, but has since been unable to play games in a single sport due to a strange series of injuries.

Vlaeminck has dislocated his left shoulder twice. The first came playing for Victoria in the 2017-18 season. Coming soon, across Australia. A tour of England that coincided with the end of Girls’ Ashes, she dislocated the same shoulder once again on one occasion while bowling, resulting in corrective surgical treatment.

Before making his debut for Australia in 2018, he had undergone two anterior cruciate ligament reconstructions. Pressure fractures in her substructure also forced her to sideline the 2020 home T20 World Cup, as well as the 2022 ODI World Cup, the Commonwealth Games closer to that age and the 2023 T20 World Cup. Infrastructure injuries led her to devote herself to speed training with professional dancers from the Australian Ballet as part of her rehabilitation work.

Derek Carr surprise update: Saints QB could return to practice soon, long chance to play in 8th hour, per file

0

The Pristine Orleans Saints will be without Derek Carr for a second straight game on Thursday night. They may not have to wait to stay longer for their point quarterback to return to the outfield; However, NFL Media reports that there is an anticipation that the signalman will resume practice on the day to prepare for Hour 8.

Early on, Carr suffered a vicarious shock that was meant to occur in the Saints’ Hour 5 loss to the Kansas Town Chiefs, a game he didn’t finish. Some estimated he could be sidelined by some event, forcing backup rookie Spencer Rattler, a fifth-round pick in the 2024 draft, to develop a longer appearance as a starter.

Technically listed as unsafe before being declared inactive for Thursday’s game against the Denver Broncos, Carr would face other obstacles to returning on game day even if he practices next, according to Ian Rapoport: “A lot… has to happen for him to him out there,” along with checking the shock in living simulations.

Saints maestro Dennis Allen seemed to echo next Thursday’s game, telling reporters that tight end Taysom Hill, who is also battling an upset, is more likely to return for Hour 8 than Carr.

Fortunately, Carr would have extra time to prepare for a possible return to Hour 8, as the Saints would have 10 days between Thursday night’s tournament against Denver and the Oct. 27 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Carr was 2-3, with 8 touchdowns and 4 interceptions, before this happened this season.

NFL trade deadline 2024: Why Saints will have to provide Alvin Kamara, plus potential touchdown points for veteran RB

0

NFL teams have spent a different pace transferring big names ahead of this year’s in-season trade deadline, with Davante Adams and Amari Cooper finding untouched homes in recent days. Now, the Fresh Orleans Saints will have to miss a beat buying groceries for one of their most successful players: star running back Alvin Kamara.

Thursday was always expected to be ugly for Fresh Orleans, with a seriously banged-up lineup facing the defensive tone of their old friend Sean Payton, the Denver Broncos, and so it was. The Saints lost 33-10. What the Saints’ helpless appearance suggested, on the other hand, is that things could get worse. Quarterback Derek Carr remains ill along with many others. Rookie Spencer Rattler doesn’t have a coherent solid support to lean on.

And Kamara, once a poster child for dual-threat playmakers and an incredibly central piece of the club’s now-forgotten surge to begin the 2024 season, has a divergent position amid the chaos.

The five-time Pro Bowler only faced a half-dozen carries in the fourth quarter of Thursday’s blowout. Cameras caught him visibly angry with the Saints’ past performance in the game. And now he’s averaged less than 3.5 yards per lift in 4 of his last 5 matchups, gasping in the breeze on the backside of a besieged inning. As if that weren’t enough, the Saints saved him on the ground deep into the fourth quarter against Denver, dropping 23 points on rehabbing starters like Carr, Taysom Hill, etc. seen very easily from the appearance.

When running at full speed in a healthy lineup, Kamara is still capable of spreading plays. But if the Saints would commit to embracing their own stubborn tendency, confronting reality and inclusion rather than facing a long-term rebuild, they would promote that home run ability to the rest of the NFL. A return wouldn’t necessarily be luxurious for a 29-year-old running back with a history of trauma and a high 2025 price tag; Kamara is owed a whopping $29 million in the last 12 months of a commitment extension he signed in 2020.

That would be one thing, though, and the acquiring group could simply view it as a midseason condo, considering Kamara will also be exempt during the offseason to save between $18 million and $25 million in 2025. Which teams golf could be suitors, will the Saints actually have land or will they request a trade? Below are 3 possibilities:

Kamara may need to redo his offer to facilitate this, taking into account Cowboys owner Jerry Jones’ unwillingness to pay a max fee for, say, Derrick Henry during the offseason. However, Dallas lacks serious strength in the field game, and Dak Prescott could benefit from a more ambitious team of secondary targets closer to CeeDee Lamb. Kamara would surely get a more dazzling highlight here.

Denver Broncos

That’s right. Sean Payton didn’t want Kamara to go over his age group on Thursday, but Fresh Orleans may be robbed of his old friend just to definitively plug the buildup into his tenure with the Saints. The Broncos already have a committee backfield, one that leans heavily toward the running game, and Kamara’s pass-catching prowess would give rookie quarterback Bo Nix possibly his easiest defensive valve yet.

Everyone’s talking about a potential big receiver deal for the reigning Super Bowl champions, but what blockbuster reinforcement for the backfield up and running, with Isiah Pacheco injured? Kareem Hunt has done well in peace, but can he stay healthy down the stretch? Andy Reid would almost certainly want a backup with more upside, and Kamara would give him another all-purpose weapon for Patrick Mahomes.

Mitchell Starc says Cameron Green’s absence adjusts dynamic for rapids

0
Mitchell Starc has admitted that Cameron Green’s absence will change the dynamic of Australia’s Test team, hinting that weekly reserves will also be needed over the summer.

In particular, the all-rounder’s absence has the potential to have an impact on Australia’s aging week attack, with an increased workload likely against the Republic of India.

Captain Pat Cummins had said before the start of the summer season that Australia were more likely to rely heavily on green all-rounder Mitchell Marsh, especially if the Republic of India batted for long sessions in the past.

“It will always change the dynamic when you bring out a genuine all-rounder like Cameron Green, or in England when you bring out Ben Stokes,” Starc said. “When you’ve got that real all-rounder who’s been part of a group for a while… you get into a bit of a routine of having that extra bowling option.

“I don’t know what the dynamics of that lineup will be, there are a dozen conversations around that starting spot and Mitch [Marsh] bowl with the same intelligence.

“It’s not completely strange. We’ve had series in the past where we didn’t have any off-roaders.”

“We have needed to shed part of that workload, and Gaz [Nathan Lyon] Most likely he needed to play a little more with the same intelligence.”

Starc will begin their red-ball summer against Victoria in the Sheffield Shield on Sunday, with Steve Smith and Lyon also playing.

Hazlewood will then play in the Blues’ next game against Queensland, with Starc rested.

Australia have five Tests in seven weeks against India, with the longest gap being a 10-day break between the first Test of the series in Perth and the second Test in Adelaide.

Starc said Australia’s bowlers had always adopted an extended team approach, with several factors influencing whether the first-choice group’s workloads were handled.

“That’s been the mentality for several years now, with an overseas excursion or designing a house, and the mentality of how exhausting the summer season will be or the design will be too,” Starc said. “It has been said that if you have four or five tests that last four days, the remaining month between matches [can be important].

“Obviously there is a big gap between the first and second tests and the third and fourth tests. That can also play a role.”

“We don’t know what wickets we will get, we don’t understand how successful or unsuccessful we can be.”

Starc, Cummins, Hazlewood and Lyon played unchanged for the last four Border-Gavaskar Test series at home in 2020-21. They also did the same in all five summer home Tests last season, with Australia losing the final Test at the Gabba on both occasions.

“There are too many elements to sit here from the beginning and say that’s what’s going to happen,” Starc said. “But there are certainly times when you feel the five-test grind.”

Meanwhile, Starc has stated there is no reason why New South Wales teenage prodigy Sam Konstas cannot handle Test cricket if he is called up next month.

A week after firing two tons against South Australia, Konstas shared a net session with Steve Smith on Friday at New South Wales training. While Starc wasn’t interested in whether Konstas’s time should come this summer, he had seen enough to believe the young talent could succeed.

“There is no explanation why [for him] not to [handle it]”Starc said. “He was clearly given the skill, he was given the ethic of the paintings, he’s a young, attractive guy.

“Time will tell. If he doesn’t get picked this summer, I’m sure the runs on the board will help him in the long run.”

BBL Information: Travis Head Indicators with Strikers for BBL Regardless of Stressful Schedule

0
Australia’s all-format powerhouse Travis Head has signed to play matches for Adelaide Strikers in the upcoming BBL season despite a busy global playing schedule, meaning he is best suited to be available for a maximum of three games between them. a look at constancy.

Head, 30, signed a one-year deal to play for the Strikers, a club he captained the BBL name in 2017-18 but has not played since the 2022-23 season. The nearest five-match Test line against Bharat followed through a Test excursion to Sri Lanka and the Head Champions Trophy path will only be available for three matches on January 11, 15 and 18.

The BBL was hopeful that Australia’s Test stars could be available to give the competition a boost in the latter part of this summer’s tournament, but regardless of the window, there are some concerns over the workload of the players who arise from a Strenuous high-profile line Check out in opposition to Bharat and with such an insignificant generation to organize an excursion in a foreign country Check out the revolving states in Sri Lanka.

Dates for the two-Test excursion to Sri Lanka have yet to be set, but it is understood the first Test could begin on January 29, and the Australian team has consistently sought a ten-day duration. Duration of preparation in the meadow for an excursion abroad. The Strikers’ last away match will be in Perth on January 18, meaning Head will be forced to travel to Perth the night before he is potentially due to retire for Sri Lanka.

Head’s overall workload has become a key focus for Australia’s selectors and staff since he became an all-format player in the last twelve months. There have been some concerns over his decision to play games in the new Primary League Cricket event in July after a slew of ongoing events that began with the 2023 ODI World Cup and then included five home Tests, a T20I and Eche a look at Pristine Zealand’s journey, a full IPL and the T20 World Cup.

Head is resting from the ODI and T20I line-up against Pakistan ahead of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, partly due to the closer exit of his second son.

But their determination to add some BBL cricket in one window in January will be ruthless; Their then-reliable star will probably have to wait until the next Champions Trophy in February and March, but even that is easier to cut given that both will be retained through Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL or bought in the mega public sale.

Australia will then only be able to play Global Test Championship final games immediately after the IPL before the West Indies Test in June and July.

Pristine Strikers trainer Tim Paine is aware of Head’s workload but was once keen to have him play some BBL suits.

“We understand that Trav has a hectic international schedule,” Paine said. “But we also know how much he loves wearing blue again whenever the opportunity arises and we hope our fans enjoy more of his magic this summer.”

Jamal Adams touchdown points: Discover logical locations for the next Titans to serve to protect their freedom

0

Jamal Adams is back on the market. On Thursday, the Tennessee Titans honored the veteran defense’s request to be immune, according to ESPN. The report adds that Adams, who was once ranked last on the non-football trauma list, is healthy and looking for his next opportunity in the league.

This was once an entirely moderate tenure for Adams in Nashville. The 29-year-old signed with Tennessee in mid-July but had played better than 11% of the franchise’s defensive snaps so far this season. Adams missed the season opener due to hip trauma and was then sidelined for the team’s Life 6 loss to the Colts last Sunday. In three games played, Adams totaled just four tackles.

When Adams entered the league because Refuse. The No. 6 overall pick of the New York Jets in 2017, the LSU product was one of the NFL’s most prolific safeties. He was named a three-time All-Pro and three Pro Bowl nods in his career, but injuries have significantly slowed his production in recent years. Since 2022, Adams has appeared in just 13 games. In nine games played for Seattle in 2023, he totaled 48 tackles and two crossed passes. As of recent history, it has yet to be revealed what the generation has in store for Adams in the NFL.

If you plan to continue your career, let’s try to find some interesting landing spots.

Month Adams should not be scrutinized, as anyone who can come and completely change the crowning glory of a protection at this level in their occupation, the Commanders may be worth any endorsement they can get. They are allowing 24.2 points per game, allowing a 46.1% conversion rate on down third and 70% on trips to the red zone by their fighters to finish with a touchdown.

Due to the simple need for protection for our corps, Adams has some familiarity with the Commanders’ training personnel corps. Most notably, linebacker maestro Ken Norton Jr. was Adams’ defensive coordinator during his future in Seattle.

This is another place that has its roots in people who know Adams’ connection to his glory days with Old York. Todd Bowles, the Bucs’ top teacher, was a Jets team leader when Adams was establishing himself as a fully pro-caliber player during his first two seasons in the league. Because of that familiarity, perhaps the Bucs can look to Adams as an intensity piece on the roster.

Unused York Jets

The Jets love reunions these days, so why not bring in another regular face? In fact, Joe Douglas was the person who traded Adams to the Seahawks in 2020, and their relationship reportedly soured over the guaranteed negotiation process leading up to that trade. That said, perhaps the future has healed some of those wounds. The Jets also made just the guard of the injured playground Chuck Clark in the store, so it is quite necessary.

USMNT Ratings: Mauricio Pochettino’s First Window Closer, USA Football Has Long Way to Go Under Their Intact Overseer

0

Mauricio Pochettino’s first global fracture as coach of the United States men’s national team has reached a level with mixed effects. The USMNT was prepared to defeat a Panama team that did not punish them for their mistakes, but if the problem grew against Mexico, that is where the Red, White and Blue surprised by falling 2-0 in Guadalajara.

It’s a shame to see a seven-match unbeaten run against Mexico fall across those events with such optimism, but that’s also the sport that provides the opportunity to explore the lake in its entirety. Some issues that had been problems under Gregg Berhalter continued despite the managerial change, others now began to give a boost to Pochettino’s first window in charge of the USMNT.

Effects

Hiding is denied, this may be a window that is supposed to have long since become sensitive to higher effects. Panama Sport was a decisive result in getting back to basics for the USMNT with a shutout victory, but moving to Mexico without Christian Pulisic before Mark McKenzie had to be removed from the lineup during pre-match warmups created a condition in which the group lacked punch. The USMNT only hit one shot, achieving a very disappointing overall result of 0.27 expected goals against Mexico. All that xG was also created by substitutes Kris Lund, Haji Wright and Brandon Vázquez.

In a way, it shows how far the intensity players want to go, but it is fragile on the stomach not to look at Mexico even though it was a different life for Andrés Guardado’s expulsion from the national team. Like Berhalter, Pochettino cannot advance the tone and create a plan for the players, but that does not mean that in some cases the plan could not be better.

Grade: C

Ways

Looking ahead to facing Mexico, Pochettino considered having a team worthy of the one that was once ready to defeat Panama. The problem with this is that Pulisic created the most chances in the Panama game and Mexico is a much better team than Panama, even with their recent struggles. It resulted in the separation of Yunus Musah and Malik Tillman, as no one could pass the ball to Josh Sargent, so he had to keep losing deep instead of having the ball in fields where he could simply let it pass to the other people in the attack.

Musah also looked splendid in the first game, but had to retire on the side against Mexico with just 10 touches of his name. This shows how far the USMNT is without Pulisic, but that may cause concern for Pochettino.

Grade: C

squad control

There was quite a bit of debate about Pochettino’s decision to send Zack Steffen, Marlon Fossey, Ricardo Pepi, Weston McKennie and Pulisic back to their clubs to deal with load control and trauma issues, but this may be one of his best moves. through the window. Of course, you want to beat Mexico, but if you have problems with your team members, it’s important not to push them past their limits. England already had to offer the loss of Buykao Saka and if someone like Pulisic was injured for the USMNT, that will affect the USMNT’s chances in the Concacaf International League and beyond.

That’s important and also gave Pochettino a look at his intensity options. His lack of provocation could make him more bankrupt than anticipated to hire twin citizens. The strategy with the USMNT over the years has been that those are the teammates. The hurling XI is splendid and competes with most teams in the world, but progress is caused by them and there are quite a few questions. It’s fine that Pochettino enjoys that with his own eyepiece, but the focus now should be on sorting it out. He will attract support from the team to reach the last stage, but if they cannot do it with Pochettino, they will most likely not give support to any coach.

MLS resolution date agenda, classification: what will be played when the Japanese and Western meetings conclude

0

There is only one date left in the Main League Football Family season. On Saturday, October 19, all teams in the Japanese and Western fixtures except Toronto FC could have taken kickoffs together to decide playoff spots and qualification. Because the league has 29 teams, one team must be free at every turn and it was Toronto who drew it on the last game date. For the Japanese Convention, all starts will begin at 6 pm Eastern Time, and for the West, they will begin at 9 pm Eastern Time.

Inter Miami may have already won the Supporters’ Box, securing the number one spot in the league’s overall standings, but two playoff spots are still up for grabs and other future teams will be able to compete for qualification. In the West, all the playoff participants are ready, but there is a fight between the two Los Angeles clubs to decide who is the number one seed for the playoffs.

Let’s take a look at the broadcast standings, the playoffs, and what teams need to do to build it.

DC United can clinch a playoff spot if: They win or draw against Charlotte FC. Failure to achieve this makes things murky, but with a loss to CF Montreal and NYCFC along with a Philadelphia Union loss or draw, DC United will make it as long as they win in the tiebreakers. It is a homogeneous situation if Montreal and NYCFC lose and Atlanta United loses or draws, DC United will still make the playoffs as long as the tiebreakers are partial. After all, if Philadelphia and Atlanta United lose or tie, DC will clinch a playoff spot.

CF Montreal can clinch a playoff spot if: They win or draw against Fresh York Town FC. Things then get complicated again as DC United falls and Philadelphia loses or draws, which will see Montreal make the playoffs as long as they win in the tiebreakers. If DC United loses and Atlanta United loses or draws, it’s homogeneous where it will all come down to tiebreakers against Atlanta United. After all, if Philadelphia and Atlanta United lose or tie, Montreal will clinch a spot in the playoffs.

The Philadelphia Union can clinch a playoff berth if: They defeat FC Cincinnati, future CF Montreal and DC United each lose. With a win, Philadelphia can also do it if Montreal loses and Atlanta United loses or draws against Orlando Town SC. In addition to winning, Philadelphia can build it if Montreal loses and wins in the playoffs. If Union wins, they may also be able to progress with a loss for DC United and a loss or draw for Atlanta United. If Philadelphia wins and DC loses, the Union can also build it in response to the tiebreakers.

Atlanta United can clinch a playoff spot if: They defeat Orlando Town SC and lose Montreal or DC United. If Atlanta wins, they can also make the playoffs if Montreal loses and the Union loses or draws. If Atlanta wins and Montreal loses, Atlanta will have the tiebreaker over Philadelphia, the 5 Stripes will make the playoffs. Any other situation is that Atlanta can win a future defeat of DC United and Philadelphia suffer a loss or a draw. Atlanta can also build on it with a win, a DC United draw and a tiebreaker merit over Philadelphia.

Orlando Town can take credit for residential farmland in the first round with: A win, NYCFC loss, or a draw or future draw maintains a tiebreaker bonus over NYCFC.

Fresh York Town FC can take credit for local farmland in the first round with: A victory over CF Montreal and a tie between Orlando Town and the future of Atlanta United in the playoffs.

Mike Williams trade rumors: Steelers and Chargers among the three suitors emerging for the great Jets receiver

0
All the talk in New York this time is the arrival of Davante Adams to the Jets offense after a successful deal with the Las Vegas Raiders. On the other hand, one of the most shocking results of that trade seems to be the imminent retirement of any other receiver. After the Adams deal, was once reported that the Jets have been looking to move on from veteran receiver Mike Williams. Now a trio of suitors has emerged.

The Los Angeles Chargers, Pittsburgh Steelers and Brandnew Orleans Saints are some of the teams that have approached the Jets about perhaps acquiring Williams, according to The Athletic.

Those three teams entering the fight for Williams shouldn’t represent an injury to those who have been paying attention to the huge receiver market over the past few months. The Steelers were connected to many available receivers, including Brandon Aiyuk, before deciding to stay in San Francisco. With that desire to add some more receiver intensity to a unit led by George Pickens, Pittsburgh could likely be considered a viable trade partner for Brandnew York.

As for the Saints, they were a dark horse in the Adams sweepstakes, but Williams could end up being a comfort prize for the cast that would later lose to the Jets. The Saints’ receiver room has been plagued by injuries, with Chris Olave (concussion) and Rashid Shaheed (knee) expected to be out for the month.

However, the most common option for Williams is the Los Angeles Chargers. The 30-year-old played his entire career with the franchise until this season, when he was cleared for a cost-cutting departure. Williams has a good relationship with Justin Herbert, and the Chargers could use more playmakers at receiver, so a reunion would make sense.

Williams was absent from practice Wednesday for what the Jets called personal reasons. In fact, it is no longer difficult to suspect that his absence may simply be due to those trade talks intact. Williams has 10 catches for 145 yards this season.
